Tips for diving and recycling Altitude

I gave a lecture on altitude diving last night and he's put something on "Tip Sheet" together. Here is a list of tips to remember when diving altitude.

1. Any dive from 1,000 feet and 10,000 feet is an immersion

2. There are relatively few data to test for altitude diving, flying after diving or altitude Conduct after diving.

3. At sea level, the diver is surrounded by an atmosphere of pressure. At 10,000 feet, the pressure is 0.714 atmospheres (a decrease of 30% of the pressure). This is the change pressure equal to 10 feet of seawater, known makes a big difference in our no-decompression limits. As we shall see, this should be taken into account when using RDP or dive table or dive computer.

4. In addition to decompression sickness, there is more concern to hypoxia and hypothermia when divng altitude.

5. Unless the actual depth becomes a theoretical depth to the table and special procedures are followed, at the level of pressure index exceeding the upper limit under the table or dive computer, increasing the risk of decompression sickness.

6. There are other considerations when diving team at altitude: (1) The air trapped inside the cells of a combination, developed high, perhaps more dynamic. Make an audit of buoyancy. (2) of different sizes behave differently to the altitude, the manufacturer of your pattern and know what type of load they have and how the effects of altitude. (3) Computer is to automatically adjust the height should be adjusted manually adjust the altitude or the altitude. Know your computer!

7. When using RDP or planning board the dive, see the theoretical conversion table depth and the first map of the dive using its theoretical depth, no real depth. Set your stop security accordingly.

8. Ascension to the deep dive at an altitude at a speed not exceeding not 30 feet per minute. safety stops are necessary at all dives.

9. Make no more than two dives per day altitude diving.

10. To get to the altitude, wait 6 hours for your body acclimitize or diving set your profile to account for residual nitrogen in the system as a result of increased altitude. When diving over 8000 meters, you should always wait 6 hours.

11. When the graphs and tables using, always cautious about – either up or down.

12. Check with your registrar Divers Alert Network or recommendations of the flight altitude or after a dive. It is generally not advisable to increase the altitude over 2000 feet for a period of 24 hours after diving.

13. Do not do the dives at different altitudes. Still waiting a minimum of six hours in diving between altitudes.

14. If you are diving high, to follow a proper training and certification. Tip Sheets and articles found on the Internet is not a substitute for training. Dive in training.

Safe diving!
