If you have snorkeled before then you are part way there. If you have dove deep and learned how to equalize your ears then you are definitely ready to go all the way. Either way you can do it and it is so much fun.

2. Talk to your local dive shop. Most of them offer training. Many offer discover dives just in case you are not sure.
If it were me I would do the online method. This way you can finish up your certification dives while on vacation rather then in some boring pool.
Your local sports chalet gives lessons. They can get a little expensive when my friends went it was $300 and then the cost of gear. But they will help you get everything you need. After you are done they give you a licence
