Reinstall Windows XP on Dell Desktop

Please use the Updated version of this movie it will be easier. Reinstall Windows on Dell Desktop You will need Dell Reinstallation Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition 1.Turn on computer and press F12 2.Use arrow keys to go down to the 4. IDE CD-ROM option and press OK 3.Press any key when prompted 4.Allow Windows to load its setup 5.Press Enter on the screen that appears after loading 6.Press F8 to Agree with the Licsense Agreement 7.Select the partitioned drive and press “d” followed by “Enter” and then “L” 8.Select the unpartitioned drive and click “Enter” 9.Highlight the NTFS (Quick) option and hit “Enter” 10.Allow Windows to partition drive… 11.Once done press enter to restart the computer 12.When asked to boot from disk do not click anything 13.Windows will then load up and install itself 14.On the XP Setup click Next followed by your name and then the time and date 15.Windows will then go back to installing Windows (It will take 20 -30 minutes so go do something else) 16.Remove disk before the PC restarts 17.The computer will now boot up!!! You will now want to go to Dells Support Website: support.dell.com and download all the drivers for the hardware so your resolution, sound, and other devices can work. Don’t forget to download Service Pack 2: www.microsoft.com Please don’t forget about the drivers. Your internet, graphics, and other things may not work until you download the drivers.     i have Hp not deel and its petium 4 windows xp pro and it says i need a new window or hardware so that means i have to reboot my computer but to get cd where do i have to go and how much is the dis for?

    @dstar0007 I would call HP support or use their online live support. They will give you a link to a webpage where you can buy a CD. I believe the CDs are around $25. If you plan on keeping your laptop for a while, I strongly suggest making the investment.

    when I go to boot it i get strke f1 key to retry boot, f2 for setup utility?

    i have a blank screen and a white dash in the corner….. will reinstalling that fix it?

    @kpskate55 if f2 key doesnt get you to the bios screen, try del key and put your cdrom to first boot device. you may have to press the key a few times to enter bios

    @maevb2009 if you dont have a disk try hitting the f10 key and if pcangel comes up you can refformat and fresh install without the cd.

    i have try this but when it goes to set up is starting windows it fails and goes to a blue screen with error message dont know why need help thanx in advance

    I have tried several times to accept the End User Agreement, however, when I do the system does not allow me to click on F8 as though the key does not work. What do I do now?

    @sp3akdatruth Switch your Driver from SATA to ATA (Or ATA to SATA) or reset your BIOS.

    aster i pres in ide cd-rom it says press F! to continue and F2 to start system set up every time i do it the same thing keeps on happening what do i do

    i did this and i cant connect to the internet. i got a wireless connection but after i installed it i couldnt connect to any network. please help!!!!!
