Removable Device Problem?
Hi! When I plug in my mp3 player or phone using a usb cable, my pc will detect the device that I plugged in. At the system tray there is the safely remove hardware icon. But nothing opens up on the screen, when I look at my computer or windows explorer, my removable device is not there. I can only see my usual drives but wasnt able to see my removable device drive anymore. I also tried using other usb cables and even my flash dive but still wont display the removable device drive. What seems to be the problem? Is it my usb drive or the windows driver? Do i need to install anything else? Please help!
I already checked device managers and there’s no exclamation or question mark on the USB controllers. If ever I need to reinstall the usb driver, how can I install it? Where can i get the usb driver?
It is the usb driver. Go to my computer/control panel/System/hardware/device manager and check out USB controllers at the bottom. If it shows with a yellow exclamation mark, the drivers need reinstalling Double click on any of the usb listed there and in the new window, click on reinstall drivers…. you can reinstall the drivers from C: Windows directory…. all the best.
maybe move usb items around. sometimes mine wont work right with different things hooked up.
