A NEW VERSATILE COMPUTER FROM SUUNTO The Suunto Gekko is an ideal choice for sports divers who do not require a PC interface or simulation features. It can be used with both air and Nitrox and is designed to give the specifics of any diving situation, including decompression, at a glance. Both ascent rate and available no-decompression time are displayed graphically with clear, color-coded indicators. Visual and audible alarms are given when necessary. Maximum depth and dive time alarms can be enabled. The Gekko uses the Suunto RGBM decompression model and has a user-replaceable battery and user-adjustable metric/imperial units. EASY TO OPERATE AND EXCELLENT VALUE Easy to use buttons and a straightforward menu structure make Gekko simple to operate. The extensive logbook memory stores up to 50 hours of dive profiles and logbook data, including dive start time and date, dive time, maximum depth attained, and temperature at maximum depth. In addition, the dive history keeps track of up to 999 dives and 999 dive hours, as well as the maximum depth ever reached. PHOSPHORESCENT LCD DISPLAY Gekko is equipped with a super bright phosphorescent display, which can be charged with a dive torch, providing long lasting illumination of the display in dark conditions. The Gekko can be worn as a wrist unit, or mounted in Suunto's Combo consoles.

The watch seems great, now that we have figured out how to use it. Unbelievably, the eStore that Amazon hosts, LeisurePro, sent us the watch with a foreign language Users Manual, presumable Finnish. This is very poor service as well as misleading. If I buy a product from an English language country, in English, then I expect to get the English version of the product, unless advised otherwise in advance.
To remain part of the Amazon network of hosted stores, LeisurePro should advise on-line, or via email at the time of order that they do not have English language Manuals. When I contacted LeisurePro they advised none were in stock and sent me a link to download myself the next day or day after due to the international time difference.
Not good enough!! If LeisurePro knew the did not have English language manuals at time of shipment (which they obviously did), they should ship a printed copy of the English Language Manual with the item or send the link in advance for the customer to download while the goods are in transit, rather than wait for the customer to contact them. Regrettably, the Finish population in Australia is very small and, what’s more, I am not one of them.
This watch was a Christmas gift for my son and, had I not checked in advance, he could not have used it on Christmas Day, because we did not have the Manual and would not be able to get one due to the time difference between Australia and the USA.
I will avoid buying from LeisurePro as much as possible and advise you to do the same. This is not the service that we should be experiencing from purchasing on Amazon.Suunto “Gekko” Air/Nitrox Wrist Computer, White
